Lowveld Motorcycle Training CC is concerned with the Safety of Motorcycle Riders, we believe that Trained Riders are SAFE Riders, therefore offer Comprehensive Motorcycle Training to all kinds of riders. Responsibility towards Road Safety is placed solely in the hands of Motorcycle Riders, Rider training is of fundamental importance to ensure the ability to handle the motorcycle in any situation.


Riders should consider annual refresher training to brush up on their Basic Riding Skills as well as dealing with Emergencies.

OUR unique approach to start riding (Beginner Rider)


Lowveld Motorcycle Training designed and perfected training for new riders. With our unique Rotor-Bike concept, we teach individuals who has never rode a motorcycle before, to ride a motorcycle within a day. If you are able to ride a bicycle, you will be able to learn how to ride a motorcycle.


The beginner training cover the basic fundamentals of riding a motorcycle, it does not guarantee the candidates full ability to ride fully proficient. Each candidate is required to put the training into practise by means of their own motorcycle. It is recommended that beginner riders gain experience of at least 6 months of riding before attempting the K53 Motorcycle License Test.


The below requirements must be met in order to attend the Beginner Training.


  • Must be an able bodied person.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to ride a bicycle.
  • Have good eye to hand coordination.
  • Should understand English.
  • Should have already obtained a Motorcycle Learners License.


What does the training entail?


  • Beginner training is conducted as one lesson over a period of a day, or could be structured over a number of days to complete 8 hours of training.
  • We focus on giving individual attention, therefore limit candidates to 4 at a time.
  • Motorcycles are supplied, as well as a Helmet, candidates is welcome to bring their own Helmets along if already procured.
  • Water supplied during the course of training, candidates required to bring their own snacks.


What to wear?


  • Protective clothing, such as jeans or any long pant which will provide adequate protection.
  • Closed shoes with laces tucked in. Slops, Crocks, sandals etc. not allowed.
  • Rider gear recommended if already obtained.


Training Process


  • Completion of required registration forms and indemnities.
  • Upfront payment to confirm training and date.
  • Certificate of attendance will be issued after training.


What is the cost and what is included?


  • The Introduction to Motorcycle Riding (Beginner) course is set at R1600,00 Vat Incl. for a day session amounting to 8 hours of training.
  • Roadworthy 200cc or 250cc Motorcycle Provided, the motorcycles are low to ensure that feet will reach the ground when seated astride.


Minor spills with the motorcycle is expected, but in the event where a motorcycle is damaged by the trainee, all repair costs will be for the trainees account.

Back 2 basics - Rider refresher


The BACK 2 BASICS rider course is designed for the novice or experienced rider who has the urge to refresh annually on their ridings skills. This course is also essential to those riders that experienced a long pause between riding careers. Focus is placed on low speed riding techniques which translate into everyday riding, fundamentals are the foundation of any riding technique which is practised at low speeds to set muscle memory. 


The below requirements must be met in order to attend the Back 2 Basics Rider Refresher Course


  • Must be an able bodied person.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be a licensed motorcycle rider who has a moderate degree of riding experience.
  • Should understand English.
  • Back 2 Basics Rider Refresher training is conducted as one lesson over a period of a day.
  • Maximum of 10 Candidates per day, minimum of three (note: can accommodate one 2 one Training as well)
  • Each rider attends by using his/her licensed & Roadworthy Motorcycle. We do have Training Motorcycles for rent.
  • Riding gear to be worn at all times during training.
  • Water will be supplied for the duration of training.


What does the training entail?


  • Theoretical Training where students participate in some basic exercises whilst off the bike.
  • Slow riding exercises focusing on Throttle and Clutch Control, balance, positioning on the bike, counter balance, Accelerating and decelerating, Bliping etc.
  • Emergency Manoeuvres.


What is the cost and what is included?


  • The Back 2 Basics Rider Refresher course is set at R950,00 Vat Incl. for a full day sesson.
  • Roadworthy 200cc or 250cc Motorcycles cann be rented at R500,00 per day, the motorcycles are low to ensure that feet will reach the ground when seated astride.


Minor spills with the motorcycle is expected, but in the event where a motorcycle is damaged by the trainee, all repair costs will be for the trainees account.

k53 motorcycle license

preparation training


Allow Lowveld Motorcycle Training CC to assist you in preparing for your upcoming K53 Motorcycle License Test. Following our structured methodology, you can be assured to understand the technicalities of the test itself, whilst also be able to perform the manoeuvres required during the test. 


The below requirements must be met in order to attend the K53 Motorcycle License Preparation Training


  • A valid Motorcycle Learners License.
  • A Proficient Rider able to perform Emergency Manoeuvres.
  • Preferably use the motorcycle owned, or frequently rode.
  • Wear protective riding gear.


What does the training entail?


  • Training conducted over four lessons of two hours each.
  • Training is conducted on a calibrated, specificated K53 test track.
  • All required test exercises explained, demonstrated and practised, positive feedback provided.
  • Recap of previous training sessions before commencing new session.


What is the cost and what is included?


  • The K53 Motorcycle License Preparation course is set at R1400,00 Vat Incl. 
  • Lessons are conducted over four lessons of two hours each, the total amount include 4 lessons.
  • Roadworthy 200cc or 250cc Motorcycles can be rented at R500,00 over the four lessons, the motorcycles are low to ensure that feet will reach the ground when seated astride.
  • Above motorcycles can also be rented for the K53 license test at an additional R500,00. Fee include delivery and collection at the Testing stations of Nelspruit and Barberton. Additional fees apply for transport to testing station further than a 100km radius from Nelspruit.


Minor spills with the motorcycle is expected, but in the event where a motorcycle is damaged by the trainee, all repair costs will be for the trainees account.
